Karak chai, fresh Punjabi parathas, desi breakfast, samosa chaat, milkcakes and donuts, all in one very warm room

Breakfast lands at nine, the chai never really stops, and the dessert cabinet gets restocked all day long.

The room

Under a ceiling of leaves and gold lattice

The whole ceiling is planted. Backlit gold latticework throws warm light down over velvet booths, herringbone floors and black marble tables. The neon script above the door has become a Northwood Hills landmark in its own right.

Half the tables have a ludo or snakes-and-ladders board printed into the surface, which is why nobody leaves after one cup.

People don't come once

Their desi breakfast is really tasty - freshly made paratha as always. We also tried the pistachio milk cake which was delicious. Super friendly staff too!
